Laurel Gymnastics and Cheer's Xtreme Hot Shots cheerleader squad is for girls ages 3 to 6. This is a great opportunity to introduce your daughter to cheerleading. Our coaches will teach them basic cheer technique, jumps, chants, and a dance. This is also a great opportunity for them to interact with other girls, play games and just have fun. Your daughter will make friends and see what it feels to cheer on a real cheerleader squad! Then, you will get to see them show off what they have learned at several performances throughout the season, including a performance at the cheerleader camp in June held by the nationally ranked Jones County Junior College Cheerleaders. Our colors are hot pink, black, and silver. Hot Shots are required to purchase a uniform, bloomers, white socks, white shoes, poms, and one practice outfit (total cost approximately $225). Other optional items are offered such as bow and pom bag.
Practices are once a week beginning Tuesday, April 6th. Performances begin in August and conclude in October. The main focus for performances is on nursing homes and community events. We may also perform at some area football games; however, this varies from year-to-year depending on school schedules and regulations. Approximately 3 to 4 performances are scheduled each month. Please note that girls are required to attend 3 performances per month as well as have a current account in order to participate in the awards ceremony at the end of the season.
The monthly fee for Xtreme Hot Shots is $40.00. There is a $30.00 registration fee for Hot Shots which includes registration and a practice outfit. Optional beginner gymnastics classes are offered at a discounted rate of $30.00 per month instead of $40.00 per month. Payment for all classes are due by the 10th of each month.
